Dear Dulhans (Brides), Welcome! I'm new to blogging so please excuse my amateur entries. I'm a grad student, and I've been engaged for some time now, and I've finally set a wedding date! I've been browsing online for ideas, reading other wedding blogs, finding inspiration and information about South Asian weddings, particularly Gujarati Weddings. Hi Mrs. Dulhan, I hope you can help me! I've been searching all over for a Indian bridal dress for a Muslim wedding. I'm getting married in this year and I cannot find a dress that combines the look of an Indian bride with the requirements of an Islamic bride (ie. Hijab, sleeves). I don't like the look of wedding gowns, and that's all I'm finding. If you come across anything, will you please help me??? Good luck to you on your wedding day

Congratulations! I don’t know if I can be much of a help since I had a Hindu Gujarati wedding, and I’m not very familiar with Islamic bridal wear. You might want to do a search for “shararas” or “ghararas” which are commonly worn at Pakistani weddings.
