BWB Colors of the Rainbow!
A few weeks ago, a fellow shaadi blogger Noreen asked me to participate in an Inspiration Board Collaboration inspired by selected PANTONE colors for a South Asian Wedding Rainbow. She’s created a banner for all of the participants called “Brown Wedding Bloggers.” I was randomly selected to use PANTONE 14-0957 TPX Spectra Yellow which reminded me of marigolds! You may already know that marigolds are extremely significant in any South Asian Wedding — I recently read a blog post by Celewire about Marigolds!
Anyways, here’s the long awaited contribution to the Brown Wedding Blogger’s Rainbow of South Asian Weddings!
Please take a look at the BWB ladies’ blogs and Rainbow Inspiration Boards:

Here are a few centerpiece and decor ideas from G and H Photography’s feature of Shivon & Shawn’s Wedding. Garima Singh always manages to photograph some of the most elegant weddings and receptions I have ever seen.
This couple’s wedding theme reminded me of an inspiration board that I put together in the past called “Bollywood Red Carpet GLAM SHAM.” Check out the decor and red carpet elegance of this reception. From the crystal lampshade centerpieces to the red roses, everything about this reception was glamorous. I’m not usually a fan of red-themed receptions mostly because the wedding ceremony color theme usually revolves around the more auspicious colors — red, maroon, orange, green, and white. I would rather not have repeat colors for my reception. However, I absolutely loved this couple’s ‘red carpet’ elegance.
P.S. Check out the dulhan rockin’ her brand new shiny mangal sutra at the reception! Who says the mangal sutra can’t be stylish?

My favorite inspiration board - I’m thinking about using these colors for my reception.

In the spirit of Julia Roberts’ new movie Eat. Pray. Love. I wanted to share an inspiration board that I found on one of my favorite Wedding blogs - Wedding Nouveau .
Eat, Pray Love is the motion picture return of academy award winner Julia Roberts to the big screen after a long hiatus. Her title role: Liz, whose journey across the globe from New York to Italy, India and Indonesia, takes us on a personal exploration of love, acceptance and discovery. She’s the heroine you want to root for. She’s a dreamer, a lover, an observer, an enabler, a fixer, a diva, a cynic, a nurturer, a bitch, an inspiration, a powerhouse…a woman.

Happy Friday the 13th! It seems to be a rather pleasant for a day that has a reputation of being filled with horror. Go watch Eat. Pray. Love. - in theatres…TODAY!
Inspiration Board: Bollywood Red Carpet GLAM SHAM
We all know that the RED CARPET is often associated not only with the rich and famous, but also with high fashion, style, and sophistication. Here’s a board that I hope can inspire your Indian wedding or reception.
